What would be a good ethermet router to network two computers together?

I would like to buy a cheap in price router but also that works great and last me for a long time with out any problems. I would like to network two computers together so i don't really need any thing fancy. All its going to be used for is for internet connections.

check out netgear.com
if you just want to network two together, you can just get a crossover cable, and hook them together via ethernet ports
Probably any brand name one(some came with lifetime warranty)
If you are simply trying to create a file share, forget about the router, but if you are trying to internet share, then any of the routers at your local walmart or best buy will do just fine. The routers sold thier are very basic, and in fact are not truely routers but are router/switches. Contrary to most consumer misconceptions. If you purchase a belkin router then you have to use a belkin network interface card, or wireless card. Pick out the cheapest one. You might check the warranty on it, but as long as you keep it in a cool room with a surge protector behind it, and keep the lil kiddies hands off it will more then likely last plenty long enough. Good brands include, linksys, belkin, netgear, etc...
you know router? router is use to connect two remote sites together its like cisco 2600,3600,1700 series.and it is very costly .if you want to connect two computers with short around 25 m distance than you have to purchase cross cat cable and ethernet card/lane card .if your another computer is in 50 or 100 meter distance than you should purchase d-link switch.if another computer is in outside your home town than you have to purchase router and a lease line.
