My "Computer Room" at home is just a bedroom office, and it has 5-6 computers running in it, including a rack-mounted server. Needless to say, the heat can get pretty high in there, and taxes the air conditioning system. I had originally thought of just putting in a window exhaust fan to suck the hot air out, but I am concerned about security. Another possibility would be to somehow direct the hot air to the return A/C grate that is right above the entrance to the room, but I'm sure that would start sending warm air through the entire house, as it is a closed A/C system. Any other suggestions?

Most computer rooms need independent air conditioning because of the "heat gain".
With limited information it sounds like you could use a window air conditioner or a small split system.
Well you know about window air conditioners I suppose so I will explain the split system.
A split system is an air conditioning system that has a small outdoor unit and a small (wall mounted) indoor unit connected by a line set (copper tubes).
There are a lot of manufacturers like Mr. Slim, Mitsubishi and so on. I have included a link.
Email me if you need more information.

i don't know how much you are looking to spend, but if money is no object ( i wish it was the case for me) you could switch to liquid cooling and pipe the heat farther away. I don't think sending hot air into the a/c return would make to much heat in the house, or.. start a sauna. hah.
You may want to spread out your network a bit, maybe put a few computers in other rooms. We did that and it made a world of difference.
