I want to buy a dvd burner but do not understand computers at all?

I have been told by my partner that we need a DVD burner for the computer. What type would I need I do not understand computers and have a Fujitsuu siemens amilo laptop. I would want to buy off Ebay but there are so many and do not know which one I would need? Thanks

just get an external dvd re-writer . i have one for my laptop and its gr8. they are faster as well(when burning) they are easy to set up!!!!!!! just plug into the usb port and your away!!!! they are reasonably priced too! mine was 拢35 uk. gdlk guys xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

it's better to take it to a computer store to make sure of the compatibility, laptop drives are more complicated than desktops.
like the last person said your best bet whould be to take it to a store and have them look at it.
Hi as you asked DVD Burner for computer no need to buy when you buy DVD they will give you CD in that CD every thing is avalibel Burner use for riting CD or DVD you Have DVD riter but dont have CD just Go any Computer Shop and ask fo cd they will give you free becouse it cums with DVD free thats all
