Neither one of the computers I'm connecting are connected to the internet, is it still possible to share data between the two? How do I do that?

They're missing something!

If you're using a LAN cable, you need a special one called a "cross-over" cable. The connectors are wired so that they're mirror images of each other, which, if you think about it, makes perfect sense.

Once you've done that, things will normally magically work, but otherwise you will need to add your computers to the same Workgroup. To find the other computer, open up Explorer and look under My Network Places.
The first answerer didn't understand your question. You don't need the internet to share data between two PC's.

Google "file sharing" and you'll see some methods to set up the PC's. I think you can also use a special USB cable.
1 of the computers has to be connected to the internet, so the other can share that connection.
You have to have wireless internet, this has nothing to do with lan
you will have to setup a workgroup for them to log into. set it up on one of the stations, then create a network setup disk to make sure the other system hase the same settings. this is a lot easier to do with a network hub. i have been able to connect 15 machines without any internet connection.
You need a "turnover" ethernet cable. This flips the pairs of wires so that the transmit and recieve are swapped. Plug the cable in, turn on the computers and you'll see the computers in "My Network Places" in Explorer.

You'll have to turn on file sharing and select which directories you want to share.
