Does any of u know how much electricity computers spend?U see I am downloading sth and I want to leave it four days open(night and day) so that it finishes.What d u suggest doing: Should I keep it open, or close it due to electricity cost???

A typical computer has a 300 watt power supply. That's .3 kilowatts.
Electricity is measured in kilowatt hours. kWh.
.3 kW * 4 days * 24 hours / day = 28.8 kWh.
Figure a worst case scenario cost of about $0.10 per kWh.
So your downloading scheme would probably cost around $2.88 in electricity. And that's an "at worst" type of figure.
Is the download worth $3? :-)

well remember to set your settings so that your computer doesn't sleep or turn off after a period of time, and also, i would turn off the monitor. Turn off all the save electricity settings, because they will stop the download. also, i would get a download manager like megamanager ( http://www.megaupload.com/megamanager/ ) so if it stops downloading, you won't lose all of your progress.
