You'd set the router up with an Internal IP of lets say 172. 17.1.17 subnetmasking of 255.255.255.248. Then your first computer could be 172.17.1.18 your last device would be 172.17.1.22 255.255.255.248

Or you could set up a DHCP range of 172.17.1.18 to 172.17.1.22 on the router also.
you buy 1 wireless router . you set that up on da frist pc then on =da. other pcs if tthere desktops buy wireless usb adapters for all of them . then when you set up da. router on the frist pc your need to get in the router control panel from explorer or firefox . and set up network ids for all the other pcs and use a securty password so that it will lock the wireless network out form other people . if you dont set up a password on ur network everyone will be on it and fast there have free internet from ur network
