How can I advertise locally that I fix computers for cheap?

I can fix, upgrade, custom-build, and configure computers, networks and laptops, for cheap and I want to advertise locally. I've tried the paper it cost to much with very little return.Please Help!!!

First, you could print up some flyers and hire some kids to place them on cars at the shopping malls, and outside of computer stores.

Second, you could print up some cards and go into the drug stores, supermarkets, and so forth and pin them up, as most have a bulletin board for that purpose.........

Third you could look around, depends on what state you are in, for a place that sends out "coupons" in the mail. What they do is print up all kinds of, (carpet deals, shampoo deals, jewelry deals",,,,and place these into a mass mailing to an area of your choice................that worked for me when I did a small business..........

Then, you could also make a sign for your car, on the rear, is a good place, as many of course are stopped or driving behind you..............

Use those word only ads in the Thrifty Nickel type classifieds. Too, I use flyers for my carpet cleaning biz and distribute them door to door.
Some places have business groups where people from a certain business meet every now and then to discuss their jobs, and it gets word out great. Basically, they take only one of two of a certain proffesion and then everyone in the group uses whoever they need when they need them. My boss runs the franchise for Carpet Dry Clean in Atlanta, and he is in a business group called BNI. I dunno if it is anywhere else, but he gets almost 50% of his profits from its members.
You could give you names to companies and business. Just name drop here and there. Or get a magnetic sign to put on your car and everyone can see it whereever you go
