How come I can't copy items between my two networked computers?

I have a laptop and my desktop connected via my wireless network, and I am trying to copy music from my desktop to my laptop. First of all, my desktop won't even come up on my laptop under "Workgroup computers". Second, if I go on my desktop and try to copy music to my laptop, it says "Access is denied, make sure disc is not full or write-protected". I have properly set up sharing between the two computers and folders. What is wrong?

Also, you have to allow "Sharing" on each folder you'd like to access. Right-click on said folder %26 select properties/sharing/share this folder on the network.

Make sure you are in the same workgroup and that the firewall is set to allow that computer access by its IP address.
i am taking that you do not have another firewall beside the Windows firewall.. if it is on then i would try to give your PC and the laptop an assigned ip then under wins tab i would name sure default netbios settings is selected.. then under your windows firewall exceptions tab ..i would make sure file and printer sharing in on.. then reboot both PC and laptop and try it..it this all fails try this program wipeer .. this will allow you to send files between two client..
