OK - you need to setup a home network so you can see each others computers. There is a network setup in your control panel. You need to name your computers. I have 2 laptops and a desktop and they all see each other - and can print to the printer..... but trick is to SHARE.
After you can at least 'see' the other computer on My Network Places, then you need to go to the desktop, go to the printer section in the Control Panel, and right mouse button click and SHARE the printer. You also might want to share drives too.
