It would be hard because people can buy Dells and HPs and whatnot for cheap and they will come with warrantys and support and they will generally be more reliable.

Any business starts with research. Look it up in google. All of your questions. Find a local PC store near you and find out what they are doing. Be tactful with your questions there. You can do it, don't let other people tell you, you can't do it. You can do anything!
Doubt it, since there's lots of famous boutique shops out there... Alienware, Falcon NW, Voodoo, then there's the second tier shops like Polywell, IBuyPower, CyberPower, and more... Then there's the Powershop s with gamer PCs like HP, Gateway, Dell XPS...

You can't compete with them on price since they get parts cheaper than you do... Can you compete with them on quality? Hmmm... Support? Hmmm...
