My bosses daughters computer had only trial version, so now we need to buy the disks. Before we do, he's wondering how many different computers/times can you use the same disks and product key before you can no longer use that product key to reinstall. Any help and answers would be greatly appreciated!

You can install Microsoft Office 2007 Home and Student on one primary device and a second mobile device according to the EULA. ie. You can install it on a PC Tower and a Notebook but the notebook has to belong to and be primarily used by the owner of the PC Tower. That's how they state it. So basically you can use it on 2 computers whether it be 2 laptops or 1 PC and 1 Laptop but not 2 PC's. They do sell 3 packs of the software. And as usual there are always illegal ways around this but Microsoft is getting better at blocking and detecting those illegal usages. Good Luck HTH.
