Is it just me or does DELL online up the price of the computers alot?

Ok ive been looking at computers to buy one, i built a dimension one on dell for $709, then later I went back to look at it and it was $739! I tried looking over and over again, to see if I had added something but NO. Then I thought about an xps. I built one for $769, then I go back to the computer about 15minutes later and its $799!!! Again $30 dollars more! So i look to see what I added and nothing!! Do they purposely do this to get more $$$ or what?? Do they constantly change the price if people are looking at them?? Tell me is this just my own little conspiracy theory or has this really happend to anyone else???

Very interesting! I have heard that Dell does this. Monitor what people are looking at and regulate prices based on that.

It also depends on what type of stock they have left of certain components. For example if they have more 1 GB DIMMs than 512 DIMMS then you will see some sort of special to upgrade to the 1 GB.

But you are right, they do jack prices up every now and then. Hopefully you're using a coupon code from a paper or something.

yes indeed you're right..IDell raised prices. Don't know really why...but i have their catalog sinve june 2006...and prices jumped
How long was the interval between views? They may have had a sale when you configured them which ended before you bought them.
