Why? Why would you want to look at you phone when the computer is in front of you? Uless, you're wanting to download music and such from "free" sites. If that's the case, I'd suggest looking up programs like Bitpim and your phone brand in google and you'll find what you're looking for.

you can activate your routers WiFi, and set up your phone to use the Wifi...
i can't help you with setting up the phone as there are 100's of different types of phones....
