Sounds like the one we have on the East Coast Main Line - it's bright yellow! Known fondly as the Banana Train, it checks rail conditions etc, and all the computers are like something off the boat searching for Nessie! It's the train which tells us when engineering work needs to take place ....... um ..... most weekends?
They count how many people are waiting for trains cos they cant get on them as there are too many desks on board.

its what we call a test train. its used to check the rails, using sonar signal that are bounced through the rails to see their weak points. Network Rail has some trains painted yellow that do the same job, as all rails have to be checked in the UK
