In most everyday home-based applications, a DSL speed of 1MBPs is enough for many more computers than you would need.
The overwhelming majority of home PC users do surfing, email, movies %26 music, and for some, gaming.
The theoratical limit is 256 computers, but many homes have only about 3 or 4, so the DSL can handle it easily. For example, I have 5 machines in my home office, running realtime stock data and news feeds, alongside email and general surfing. My DSL is only 750KB, and everything works smoothly.
In fact, a 1Mbps speed is close to T1 ( 1.54 Mbps ), which is used by many businesses.
It really depends on what you're using it for. For simple web browsing/email/IM stuff, 1Mbps can easily handle 5 or 6 computers at a time. But if you're going to be downloading lots of large files or doing a lot of streaming video or online games at the same time on multiple computers... you might want more bandwidth.
it is only good for 4-6 pc...
