ever try using a kvm switch? with that you can work with two computers
open the computers up..you should only be moving one side panel...which should easily slide out, once the screws are undone. Make sure the system is off and unplugged. Remove the front covers of both computers...it may be locked by a latch or screw from the inside...don't force it becomes too resistent. Now identify the hardisk, and disconnect the ribbon cable (this ia wide grey cable) and power cable (this is a white connecter with four wires leading to it) from the hardrive. Slide the hardrive out THROUGH THE FRONT. You may need to pull hard to remove the cables. Make sure you don't rip the individual wires of the power cable... you want the white thing intact and disconnected. do the same for the other PC and swap. then reconnect the cables in the exact same manner... there should be no compatibility issues.
