I have many old floppy and zip disks for older computers, any ideas what to do with them besides tra

I have many dozens of these disks which current computers don't accept. I hate to throw all this usable stuff away, but I can't find anyone who would want it. I think I have $400 in zip disks alone.

What would be an efficient way to erase all the info on these disks before getting rid of them?

I don't know which country you're in, but here in the States (and perhaps where you reside), Yahoo has what's called a FreeCycle group.

FreeCycle is a community where folks can give away unused or unwanted items to others on the group. I've seen computer components, animals, furniture, clothing, etc, offered then taken by those who need it.

I think it's a wonderful idea. The group where I reside is very active.

You might give that a try before tossing them in the trash.

Good luck!

you can put them together in a string and make it into a curtain.. you need to make a hole first though goodluck!
They make great coasters for your coffee cups - them and AOL CD's.

:)
Break em, and recycle!!!
