With Electronics and Communications background you have room to change jobs though the initial salary may not be as good as that of a computer science graduate if you get an opening in IT field.

If you take Computer Science then you are stuck with programming alone. You cannot switch jobs into any telecom or electronic related field. But initial pay packet will be higher if you join any IT company.
