PLEASE HELP!!! I can't charge my ipod shuffle! I am retarded with computers!?

How do I charge my ipod shuffle?

I know nothing about computers, am using my work computer. I keep losing songs because it just keeps blinking orange, I've read all the faq's but it makes no sense to me. I've tried 4 different usb ports, they all make them blink Please help!!!!

That is how you charge the iPod shuffle and a blinking orange light means the iPod shuffle is in use by your computer and should not be disconnected. If you want to disconnect iPod shuffle while in this state, use iTunes to eject iPod shuffle (or quit all applications and eject iPod shuffle from Windows Explorer or the Finder), wait for the status light to stop blinking, and then disconnect iPod shuffle.

As for the songs disappearing you may have iTunes set to automatically sync songs to your iPod which would sync with every computer you connect the shuffle to.

it has to do with the type of USB it is that ur hooking up to. There are USB 1.1 and 2.0 and they have to be the same. Also, you are not retarded.....it just that they make ipod very hard to connect sometimes because Apple is scared people will trade their itunes songs from one computer to another. Do you have the new ipod shuffle shape like a square in blue or one of the other bright colors .....or u got those old shuffles that are white and shape like a rectangle? The squares one are much better now at charging then the old ones.
